The Data Governance Council was originally established in February 2021 and relaunched in July 2022 to act as a representative body across the enterprise to develop and evangelize for improved data governance practices. The Data Governance Council will collect and publish data handling policies, standards, and best practices across Standard Industries and its operating companies. In addition to the content aggregation goals, the council will oversee the implementation of data handling improvement projects and act as an arbiter for improving data handling processes.
